I joined the hairdressing industry at age 16. I worked at Marguerite Hair Salon in Bury St Edmunds after  leaving school and joined Gavin Ashley 21 years ago.

What do you love about hairdressing?

 I love cutting, particularly pixie cuts because it's a haircut you are not often asked for. I also love foiling. 

What do you love about being a hairdresser? 

Meeting different people and the variety of work as everyone's hair and personality is individual.

Which celebrity hair would you like to get your hands on and why? 

Paul Hollywood. Why? Because of his blues eyes and he might bring cake!

Who inspires you?

Victoria Beckham because alongside all her achievements, her family is very important to her as mine are to me.

If you had to live on a desert island, which three Aveda hair products would you take with you?

Phomollient, volumizing tonic and smooth infusion naturally straight.

What is your ultimate ambition?

I am happy as I am with my work and family life with my children and grandchildren

Senior stylist Marie is a qualified L'Oreal Colour Specialist having passed the highly regarded L’Oréal Colour Specialist Degree course in London with a 98% distinction! The course gives a really deep insight into all aspects of hair colouring, which allows Marie to take her colour skills and knowledge to the next level.

I previously worked in two local Salons one as a Saturday girl and the second as a Stylist.

I love doing bobs and short textured cuts, foil colour, plus wedding & special occasion hair. I just love the chance to be creative and create individual looks.

What do you love about being a hairdresser?

I love being creative with colour! I also enjoy the social aspect of my job, and love working with a team.

Being able to make someone's day better by giving them a fabulous cut, colour and style.

I love working with rebellious curly hair as I love to see the finished style - ultimate satisfaction!

I would love to cut Claudia Winkleman's fringe!

Creating beautiful hair inspires me every day.

 I worked in a Salon in Norwich for 6 and a half years.

What do you love about hairdressing?

I love doing restyles on clients as I like to completely change someone's look and make them feel good about themselves.

 Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) - reason: take a guess! 

Who or what inspires you to create fabulous hair?

Instagram is a great tool to get inspired by others' work.

To travel around Australia.

I love doing restyles and colour changes. It is always rewarding to watch clients leave the Salon feeling happy and confident.

Who or what inspires you to create fabulous hair?

My clients inspire me. I love to make my clients look and feel great and still have the same buzz after 28 years.

Which celebrity would you like to get your hands on and why?

I would love to persuade Kate Garraway to try a new style. Although her hair is always done for TV I think a new look would make her look even more fabulous

Boris Johnson because his hair is notoriously awful.

I like following Kylie Jenner on Instagram as she is always changing her hairstyle.

I used to be a gymnastic coach.
