Quick & Easy Beach Hair

Quick Hairstyles for the Beach – Gavin Ashley Hairdressing, Bury St Edmunds

On the beach, the idea is to look as laid-back and free as ever.

Of course, most of the time, that’s just an illusion. Beach hair is often less “I’ve been surfing and my hair just naturally turned out this way”, and more “I spent at least 30 minutes in the mirror perfecting this, so don’t even THINK about getting it wet”!

There are so many hair styles which look amazing for the beach, and with the arrival of summer, you can easily recreate them at home.  All you need to start with is a fabulous hair cut and colour so book your appointment now by calling Gavin Ashley Hairdressing on 01284 754066 or send an email to michaela.gavinashley@gmail.com.

Plaited Summer Hairstyles

Plaits are absolutely fab when it comes to getting that boho vibe; plus they keep your hair out of your face when you’re contending with that sea breeze.

There’s also the added bonus that when you take them out, you’ll have beach waves to die for, without spending hours with a curling iron and drying out your locks.

Wear your plait in whatever style you fancy.  It can be high on the crown, a low side-plait, two braids or even a halo braid if you’re feeling adventurous!

Top Knot Hairstyles for Summer

Top knots are a perfect way to get your hair out of your face and they’re SO easy to do on your own.

Give your hair a good brush, pull it up into a ponytail at the crown and secure it with a band.  Then twist your hair around until it turns into a little knot.  Secure with a second band.

This look is awesome on women and men with long hair, so lads don’t need to feel left out.

If the mood takes you, why not go for two top knots for a change?

Summer Hairstyles – High & Low Ponytails

There are so many choices when it comes to ponytails, and all you really need is a brush and a good hair tie.

High ponytails are fab for making your cheekbones look really high, which is especially good if it’s simply too hot to contour.

Low ponytails are the ultimate in low-maintenance, so they’re great for beach trips.

For a cool night-time look that’s quick and easy, wear your ponytail low and to one side.  Maybe add a few waves to it using your styling wand.

Summer Hair Accessories

Got your hair all wet and now you don’t know what to do with it? No worries, just cover it up. There are lots of pretty hair accessories out there, that will perfectly complement the summery feel of the rest of your outfit. Hats are the best – they keep you cool, and they can be super stylish. But flowers and scarves work equally well, so don’t be afraid to experiment.

Slicked Back Hair for Summer

If your hair is wild and unruly, sometimes you just want it all slicked back! It gets it out of your way, and it can look amazing if you’re taking good care of your hair.
