#TimetoEndBreastCancer
Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Gavin Ashley Hairdressing, Bury St Edmunds
Gavin Ashley is proud was proud to recently take part in the 2022 Breast Cancer Campaign supported by Estée Lauder Companies to Honor 30th Anniversary and Positively Impact the Global Breast Cancer Community.
The Campaign’s mission for the past 30 years has been to help create a breast cancer-free world for all. Founded in 1993, the campaign has helped fuel research across the entire spectrum of the disease—from tumor biology, lifestyle and genetics, survivorship, treatment, and metastasis—making an indelible mark in the diagnosis, care, and prevention of breast cancer.
In the 1990s, pink ribbons were used to raise breast cancer awareness and the colour stuck. People wear pink to honour those who have lost their battles and support those still to come, whilst drawing attention to the fact that there is still so much more to be done to find a cure for this disease.
On Friday 21st October the whole Gavin Ashley team wore pink to help show support and raise money. Better still, they had a cake bake sale where they raised an impressive raised £155.69! All proceeds have been donated to help make life-changing breast cancer research and support happen.
